How the Helios horsebox brand started

Helios horseboxes is one of three businesses that make up Kevin Parker Horseboxes Ltd. After more than 2 years designing and sourcing new materials, 2007 saw the first Helios horsebox completed. It was actually sold before it was even half built, so we were confident that we had a desirable product. After the production of the first Helios, demand grew so quickly that we decided to make it a new quality brand to compete with best manufacturers.
We sell the Helios brand from both this website and www.kevinparkerhorseboxesltd.co.uk We employ a team of 13 very dedicated people who take great pride in the product we build. Our reputation for quality and customer service is amongst the best in the industry and only possible because we have such a close, friendly team who care about the business they work for. Pride in workmanship and a good company wide reputation for service and quality cannot be bought, it must be earned. With the latest lightweight composite materials and innovative design we aim to lead, not just follow others. Recommendations from existing customers make up over half our work and this goes a long way to showing the quality of our coachbuilt Helios horsebox. The commercial spray shop

We have our own commercial spray shop on site with a team of three sprayers with experience in the aerospace (commercial and military)and commercial vehicle industries. We take on almost any commission from new builds that are brought to us by customers, resprays, boats, vans, conversions and our own coachbuilt horseboxes. We take great pride in the quality of our paintwork and it is the first thing customers see when looking at a horsebox. Good paintwork underneath as well as on the outside extends the life of the horsebox adding to our reputation. The Coat-X department

Our spray-on polyurea protective coating firm, Coat-X, was originally set up to spray our horse areas and ramps. Coat-X replaces heavy rubber mats, carpet, stock board and kick sheet. This looks fantastic, saves weight and makes any areas sprayed totally waterproof for the life of the horsebox or trailer. Again once we invested in the equipment and started spraying our Helios horseboxes other customers saw how good it is wanted it in their horseboxes. This is just another area where we have lead the way. It has become so successful we run it as a full time business with dedicated staff spraying almost any surface including horse areas and ramps for other manufacturers. The steel fabrication department

Our steel fabrication and manufacturing department build everything that goes into a Helios horsebox. We have a policy that where possible we manufacture our own component parts on site, giving us greater control of quality and timings. We take on many diverse commissions in the fabrication shop and have the added bonus of being able to spay or Coat-X anything we make.

Kevin Parker Horseboxes Ltd

Our parent company Kevin Parker Horseboxes Ltd started in business building quality horsebox conversions. Starting with converting horseboxes and a few new builds each year, Kevin Parker previously worked for the best part of 10 years for Gold-Line horseboxes and had other coachbuilding jobs before that. We still have a good turnover of horsebox conversions as well as our Helios range. Our emphasis has always been on quality, customer care and value for money. We invite customers to visit our workshops to see each stage of the build process and talk to the team that actually build the horseboxes. We have no sales people just Kevin himself who is always available to answer questions and offer advice.
